Since I started on the eLearning journey, I have been trying to get my head around marking work online. The multiple choice and one-word answers were easy to figure out. But I could not get my head around marking paragraph answers.
I have read how some teachers create a workflow of opening the document in Notability and annotating the document before they convert it back and send back to the learner. Not only did it seem to be a cumbersome method, but if there is one thing I have learned is that it is seldom effective to try and recreate an analogue process digitally. You have to think outside the box.
Then I came across this post by Sean Hampton-Cole about using Google Forms to mark longer answers. And for the first time, I can envision how marking online will work.
